Welcome to Live the Lingo! Below is a step-by–step guide to booking your language course or accommodation. Please note that both of these services are completely free, and you will only be charged the school or accommodation provider's fees.

Booking a language course


1. Choose the type of course that you would like to take.

Click here for a list of course types and explanations to help you decide
which is best for you.


2. Choose the UK city in which you would like to study.


You may find our series of UK city guides useful.


3. Search for a language school that offers the course you want to take.

You can either search for all schools in the UK which offer that course or search for schools in one particular town or city.


4. When you have found a school and a course that you like, scroll to the bottom of the course page and click on ‘Make a Booking’. You need to fill out our application form and click 'Submit' to send it to us.

You can also ask us a question by clicking on ‘Make an enquiry’ and filling in the short form, or by email.


5. When we have received your application form, we contact the school to check that this course is available for your chosen dates. When the school confirms this, you will need to pay the school's deposit to reserve your place at the school, and we will give you all the details to help you do this.


6. The school will send you a confirmation of enrolment once you have paid your deposit, which will help you to apply for your visa (if you need one), and will arrange your accommodation and transport if you have asked for this.

They will also issue you with an invoice for the outstanding fees and the invoice will show the amount of time you have to make the payment.


7. If the school is offering a discount or a special offer, the details of this offer will be displayed on their homepage on Live the Lingo (above the Photo gallery).

If the offer is a discount on your fees, the discount will be shown on your invoice. If the offer is no registration fee, we will notify you of this when we receive your application. If the offer is a free excursion or different free gift, you will receive this when you arrive at the school.

Booking accommodation


Homestay

Please note that most of our partner schools provide homestay accommodation with experienced host families. If you would like this type of accommodation, please mention this on the application form. Some schools also offer residential accommodation, particularly for Junior and summer courses.


Student Residence

We also work with UNITE, the student accommodation company, to provide you with luxury student accommodation in many UK cities. You will find details of these properties by clicking on 'Find Accommodation' and selecting the city in which you would like to live. When you have found a room/flat that you like, simply fill in our application form and we'll book your accommodation for you and contact you with details of how to proceed. Easy!


Other Accommodation

If you want another type of accommodation, simply send us an email!

This could be:

* Host family accommodation independently of a language school

* Hotel, Hostel or Guest house

* Private Rental

You need to tell us which type of accommodation you want, which town or city you would like to live in and an approximate idea of your weekly accommodation budget, and we will search around for the best accommodation in your area and contact you with suggestions.
